Autodidactic Training Modules on Linguistic Engineering Applied to Translation

Useful TACT functions for a translator:

• Preparation of a translation: the source text style can be recovered (frequent words or phrases used by the author, recurrent phraseology, technical words or phrases that appear in the text, etc.)

• Translation Revision: our own translations and texts or other persons translations can be used (frequency of word recursivity, extreme use of a word, repetitive formulae, concurrences, different translation options for the same technical word, retrieval of different contexts of a word, etc.)

• Language Teaching: verbal components, use of articles, semantic fields, etc. can be studied and analysed.
