It seems to be an incompatibility between EMX 0.9b and EMX0.9c.

According to J.J. van der Heijden:

I don't understand either, but I got error messages when trying to
compile Pascal programs without it, at least in 2.6.3.  Perhaps the
problems have vanished with 2.7.2 (: should check ;).
